Basketball

John's basketball journey is nothing short of remarkable. He began as an All-American Boys High School Basketball Player, a talent that earned him an invitation to the prestigious Top-50 U.S. NBA Players Association High School Camp. His skills continued to flourish as he transitioned into Division 1 Men's Basketball at Fordham University, where he not only played, but also was named Team Captain his senior year. At Fordham, John's leadership stood out, and he continued his playing career professionally in the Australian Basketball Association. There John notably not only earned Team MVP honors, but also led his team to the Championship Game despite starting at the bottom of the standings.

Along the way in John's impressive journey were influential teammates and coaches who guided and mentored him on his path. Gary Hall, his high school coach had a significant presence in his growth as a high school player. Gary Hall was selected as the coach for the United States Boys All-American Team in 2020 . Additionally, while in high school John had the privilege of learning from Christian Laettner, a renowned NBA Player and his childhood hero.  Bob Hill, a veteran NBA head coach with the Seattle Supersonics, Orlando Magic, and New York Knicks, also played a significant role in shaping John's skills and guiding him through the process of moving to the professional level.

John’s experience playing with the best truly set him apart from his peers.  He competed against throughout his career a list of NBA legends such as Kobe Bryant, Lamar Odom, Stephon Marbury, Tim Thomas, Jermaine O'Neal, Ron Artest (Metta World Peace), Steve Nash, Mike Dunleavy, and Ed O'Bannon.  John's journey in the world of basketball is a testament to his hard work, commitment, and the invaluable experiences he gained from playing alongside and against some of the best in the game.  He continues to use the lessons he learned on the basketball court in his business endeavors today.
