John T Pugh is a Business Executive, Architect, former Professional Basketball Player, and Serial Entrepreneur. John loves to identify opportunities, then assemble and lead elite teams to deliver best-in-class products and services.
John is the Owner of Pugh Investments, a holding company, and Pugh Management, a real estate development company.
Pugh Investments’ focus is to invest in real estate, art & design, hospitality, and digital marketing related businesses.
Over the past 20+ years Mr. Pugh has led the value creation process across different types of business ventures and real estate projects. In his first role on Wall Street he identified operating inefficiencies in business processes and created software programs to improve them by 10x. Mr. Pugh then led the sales efforts for start-up products and services and managed multimillion-dollar customer account relationships. In real estate, John has successfully led large teams through complex re-zoning and approvals processes. Over the course of his real estate career John and his partners have delivered more than 5x equity multiples for investors and stakeholders in both private ventures and public-private partnerships.
John is passionate about mentoring young entrepreneurs and growing businesses through improvements in operations, sales, branding, and digital marketing processes.
Mr. Pugh is always on the move looking for new opportunities, ventures, and business partners. John has lived in Paris, France, Brussels, Belgium, Melbourne, Australia, New York City, Washington D.C. and Boston, MA. He lives in Tampa, FL and spends summers in New England.
John has served on local non-profit boards and commissions and supports charities that serve underprivileged youth, autism, the arts, and mental health communities.
Mr. Pugh is a Fordham University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology Alum. John regularly speaks on podcasts, at universities and conferences about the future of cities, real estate entrepreneurship, and urbanism.
In his spare time, he enjoys fine restaurants, travel to exotic locations, and an occasional best-in-class scotch.
